Shilanayas for Jammu Yatri Bhawan was laid on May 30th 1998 by Late Shri Rama Nand Vaid. Incidentally during that year there was Maha Kumbh at Haridwar. As the process of construction commenced under a trust for the very purpose, people came out generously and donated sums for the noble cause.

There is also a provision for availing membership with Jammu Yatri Bhawan. The various memberships offered by Jamu Yatri Bhawan are:

Dainik Prasad Yojana: In 2004 Dainik Prasad Yojana was initiated against one time donation of Rs.51,000/-. Under the Yojana one date is fixed for the donor (it would be marriage anniversary/ birthday/ death anniversary etc.) and the celebrations start with morning breakfast till dinner. A banner is displayed all along the day indicating the name of the donor and the occasion. Sahdu/ Sadhvi are served food along with dakshna. A CD is also made for the occasion and the same is sent to the donor for record and reference. During the day breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner is also served to all the Yatris staying in the Jammu Yatri Bhawan on that day. Pooja is also preformed by learned Pandits.

Jammu Yatri Bhawan plans to have 365 such memberships that would cater to each day of the year. In addition to doing a noble job the exercise will also make Jammu Yatri Bhawan self reliant.

Life Membership: Against a donation of Rs.21,000/- the members enjoy all the facilities of food and accommodation as decided by the Trust from time to time.

Sankalp Patra: As per rituals, on the death of a family member, food has to be served throughout the year following death. Jammu Yatri Bhawan has an arrangement to cater to such rituals at Haridwar. This can be availed through donation to the trust.

Daan Patar (Donation Box): Under the scheme Jammu Yatri Bhawan provides Donation boxes to the desirous for making day-to-day donations. These donation boxes are kept at houses, shops, factories and other establishments. People can put their donation daily in the specially designed boxes specially on auspicious occasions like birthday, wedding anniversary, death anniversary etc and auspicious days like Ikadashi, Puran Mashi, Sakranti, Amasvas etc. Our collectors visit periodically to collect such donations which are used for the development of Jammu Yatri Bhawan.

The other categories for donation to the Trust include Mandir Murti Donantion, Hawan Samagri Donation like Ghee, wood etc., Ration items for Langer or any other kind of donation.

Jammu Maharaj Shri Krishan Jyotish ji, an internationally acclaimed personality having ashrams at Jammu, Delhi, London, Dubai, America and other parts of the world, played a very significant role in developing this mega project.

By his blessings and donation of his disciples in foreign countries Jammu Yatri Bhawan received a donation of Rs.6 Lakhs. With the result eight rooms have been contructed with this donation at Haridwar. Maharaj ji and his entire family have always blessed Yatri Bhawan Parivar.
